The Time Has Come

7 September 2019 Uncategorized

We are here folks. It’s officially the eve of kickoff of the 2019-20 season. For months, we have starved and craved for tomorrow. After another injury ridden season in 2018 and a heartbreaking end to the year, there is only one cure to fix this feeling. Absolutely burying Washington at the Linc to start off this season is definitely one way to do it. All off season has been an absolute tease. Howie and this staff has created an absolute monster. From top to bottom, we have the best roster in the league.

This off season has seemed especially long because we know how great our team will be and all we hear is noise from the outside about what this team is and who we are as fans. Talk is cheap people. To the haters, as you sit at Quizno’s on your Boost Mobile pre-paid phone hiding on your Twitter account with a profile picture of Donovan Mitchell or Tom Brady, keep talking. We love it. We love knowing that we own more acres of real estate in your head than you could ever imagine. This isn’t about you, this is our city, our team, and our story. We get it, you want to be apart of something great but want to root for some mediocre team instead, so you just snake your way into talking about our team. Keep talking, because we can’t wait to shut you up and it all starts tomorrow at 1pm.

As we awake to the morning sun tomorrow, you can’t help it to have a big dumb smile on your face. It’s like Christmas morning all over again. The smell of bacon and a fresh pot of coffee slips into your room. The sun shines bright on your favorite jersey that you left out for today’s battle. After the morning routine is over, it’s time to rally the squad and head down to the Linc. The smell of charcoal radiates the area and all you can hear is the sweet sound of a fresh crack ice cold beers. It’s a sea of green all over. Music, laughs, and E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! chants are all around. Brothers and sisters in green are all smiles today. Anticipation builds as kick off approaches. All we can talk about is a potential 75-yard bomb to DeSean on the first offensive possession. It’s finally time to see if all of our dreams come true and see if our team will cause nightmares for the rest of the league.

The time has come. The time has come for Carson to get his revenge one electrifying play at a time. For Jordan Howard to prove us right and the Bears wrong. For Alshon to be legend he is once again. For Miles Sanders to show us he is everything we could have ever hoped for and more. For Ertz and Goedert to invade the middle of the field. For this defensive line to suffocate opposing offenses. For Sidney Jones and the rest of the d-backs to hold it down, lock it down, and take the ball away and all the way back to the end zone. So, make sure you stay hydrated at your tailgate or pregame because I’d hate for you to be asleep during the game. I can’t wait any longer. Every day this week has been a crawl to the finish, but we have arrived. As soon as we hear Adrian say, “Win… win,” we know it’s Lights, Carson, play Action! It’s about to be a heck of a day tomorrow. Let’s set the tone for the rest of the season. Hopefully Gayle, ERock, Hollywood Hern, Prime, Trox, the rest of the 4th and Jawn Gang see you down at F1 parking lot. As Always, Fly Eagles Fly!
