Eagles to be without Timmy Jernigan for Saints game

17 November 2018 Uncategorized

The Eagles had until 4pm to announce that DT Timmy Jernigan was activated for the saints game. However, that time has past, which means the Eagles will be without their defensive tackle for another week.

Jernigan was working in with the starters this week and was supposed to mix in with the rotation against the Saints. Coach Pederson was optimistic that Jernigan would play this weekend, perhaps there was a set back or the medical staff thought it was best to wait another week for his return.

Without Jernigan, the Birds will most likely go with a mix of Treyvon Hester and T.Y. McGill to play along aside Fletcher Cox. Haloti Ngata (knee) is currently questionable for Sunday’s game.

With the Eagles placing Ronald Darby on IR, they chose to activate CB De’Vante Bausby, meaning they’ll have to release someone to add Jernigan to the roster. The Eagles now have a week from Monday to activate Jernigan to the roster.
