Breaking News: Carson Wentz traded to Indy

18 February 2021 Uncategorized

It’s finally went down, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded Carson Wentz.

Carson Wentz is on his way to Indianapolis. He’ll reunite with Frank Reich on the Colts. The compensation is a 2021 third round pick and a 2022 second round pick which can become a first round pick.

Once he was benched for Jalen Hurts, his run in Philadelphia was over. It was just about when he was going to get traded. The Eagles finally agreed on this move after not having so much of a market.

In the end, they took the only offer they had. Because of his contact and bad season last year, his value wasn’t the greatest. The Colts will look to rebuild Wentz into what he was in 2017.

For the Eagles, the Hurts era has begun. The Eagles will absorb over $30 million dead cap by trading Wentz and they’ll have to free up cap to cover their loses. This team is in a full rebuild now and they’re moving on from the player who was their franchise player.

What’s your thoughts on the move?
