Darby and Mills to practice this week; Jackson to miss practice Wednesday

14 October 2019 Uncategorized

The Eagles get some good news for the cornerback position. According to Zach Berman of the Athletic, Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills will begin practicing this week.

Mills said last week, that once he was taken off of the PUP list, he would be ready to go. He just needed the doctor’s clearance. It looks like he got the go ahead and we’ll see how he looks this week in practice.

Darby got a hamstring injury in Week 3 against the Lions and he has missed the last three games because of it. It looks like he is finally ready to get back to practice. Hopefully, he’s healthy enough to be ready for the Eagles matchup this Sunday night.

The Eagles will need all the help they can get against the Cowboys. Dak Prescott isn’t all the media hypes him up to be but the Eagles secondary is one of the worst in the league, right now. Their corners were burnt all night and made Kirk Cousins seem like an elite quarterback with his 333 yards and four touchdowns.

Getting either one of these cornerbacks back on the field this Sunday, would be a very benefical to the Eagles.

DeSean Jackson will miss this Wednesday’s practice. He has been out since Week 2 and his injury status has been up in the air, the entire time. He is questionable for this week’s game against the Cowboys. It’s being said that he may play but we have heard that every week. He has been conditioning and trying to get ready but only time will tell if he will be ready for this Sunday night against the Cowboys.

The Eagles and DeSean Jackson may have been better off just opting to get the surgery from the beginning. The recovery time would have been six weeks and right now he is at five weeks. So, now he has to worry about re-injury if it isn’t properly healed and he comes back to soon.

It’s a tough spot for the Eagles, who desperately need him. The deep threat is much needed in their offense but they don’t want to be without him, for the rest of the season. His situation will be closely monitored.
