Eagles need to cut RB Miles Sanders loose vs. Falcons
15 September 2019 Eagles News
Tonight it’s time for the Eagles to cut rookie running back Miles Sanders loose.
Last week, we saw just a small sample size versus the Washington Redskins. Sanders rushed for just 25 yards on 11 carries. However, he was on the field the most out of any backs and had a big touchdown run called back. He was by far their best looking running back, don’t let those numbers skew your thoughts.
Coming into tonight, the Atlanta Falcons had the sixth worst run defense last season, letting up 1,527 yards and 12 touchdowns. And, last week, Minnesota Vikings running back torched them for over 100 yards and two touchdowns.
With all that being said, it’s time to cut Sanders loose. This game has the making of a rookie breakout. Behind Sanders, the Eagles can catapult their offense and dominate the game. We know Sanders has the ability to takeover a game, we saw him do it all for Penn State. Now it’s time to show it on the big stage and what better stage than Sunday Night Football.
Getting sanders going should be priority number one for the Eagles. They’ll be able to win this game pretty easily if they are to do so. Sanders is going to be a very good running back in this league and it starts tonight!
