More news has just broke regarding the Eagles quarterback position and the future of Nick Foles.
It’s obvious Foles is likely gone, but the Eagles have their options. Per Cecil Lammey of 104.3 Denver, Eagles are prepared to let Foles walk.
According to sources, it sounds like #Eagles will let Nick Foles walk free and clear. Not enough space for tag and trade scenario. Will get 3rd compensatory for him. @1043TheFan – might influence #Broncos interest IMO

The Eagles had the option to pickup Foles’ $20 million option and then trade him. However Foles could have bought himself out for $2 million. If that’d be the case, the Eagles could franchise him. But, in the end, their best bet would be to let him walk as they really do not have leverage in trading him.
Foles’ run with the Eagles will forever be remembered and it’s time to realize as well, this league is a business. With a franchise quarterback already on the roster and due for a payday, the Eagles can not afford to keep Foles around. He’s going to move on and make a lot of money in the next couple of season.
