How the Eagles offense can expose the Cowboys defense

8 November 2018 Uncategorized

After watching the Cowboys fall to the Tennessee Titans 28-14 last night, Eagles fans need to be confident in their team versus Dallas and here’s why.

Last night, the Cowboys couldn’t cover downfield. Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was 21 of 29 for 240 yards and two touchdowns. He was very consistent and found his wide receivers open downfield frequently. Another part of the game that bold well for the Titans was their third down conversion rate. They were 11 of 14 on the night, they kept drives going and torched the Cowboys’ defense.

Tying this into the Eagles game, the Eagles have the weapons to cause the Cowboys trouble. The Eagles wide receivers Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and newly acquired Golden Tate will all cause the Cowboys their fair share of troubles. Last time Tate went up against the Cowboys, he went off for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and we all saw what Jeffery and Agholor did to them last season. The Cowboys inability to cover downfield will be their downfall against the Eagles.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz spoke to the media yesterday and said the Eagles want to start out fast against the Cowboys, so fully expect them to attack the Cowboys secondary. The Eagles’ passing game is going to pick up versus the Cowboys and the Eagles will have a lot of success.

The Eagles offense should have a good day this Sunday versus the Cowboys. Being a home game off of the bye week, tying in the black uniforms and the new addition of Tate, this offense should be itching to go out there and blow off the roof. And, that’s exactly what they’ll do this Sunday.
