Carson Wentz: “Staying patient is big, especially against a defense like this”

27 October 2018 Uncategorized

Tomorrow’s a big game for the Philadelphia Eagles, but for them, it’s more of a game versus themselves. Yesterday, Carson Wentz met with the media and the word he used when asked what’s the Eagles key was patience.

“Staying patient is big, especially against a defense like this,” Wentz said. “Sometimes they play a lot of soft zones and make you just earn it all the way down the field and like you said the key word is patience. Patience is a big part of what we’re going to need and when the big plays are there we’re going to have to find them.”

The Jaguars defense is coming in off of to very underwhelming performances. They have potential to be one of, if not the best defenses in the league. However, as of late, that’s not the case. Coming into this game, the Jaguars are down cornerback AJ Bouye which bolds well in the Eagles favor.

For the Eagles, there’s no need to rush. Like last season, the Eagles need to show trust within each other. There’s going to be opportunities for a long shot, but if there isn’t, there’s no need to force run. The Eagles have a very good offense capable of beating defenses down, even one as good as the Jaguars.

If all it takes is patience for the Eagles offense to click again, we better see it. About halfway through the season and with a losing record, the Eagles could use a win tomorrow and it starts with patience.
