Mortensen: Carson Wentz given the ‘green light to resume 11-on-11 team work’

18 August 2018 Eagles News

NFL insider Chris Mortensen reported this afternoon that Eagles QB Carson Wentz has been given the green light to resume 11-on-11 team work when the Eagles return to practice on Sunday.

While Carson Wentz has impressed folks with his ability to rebound from his torn ACL over the last couple of months, this is great news to hear for the Carson-starts-week-one folks.

So far in camp, Wentz has looked great and you wouldn’t even know he’s had an injury according to Doug Pederson.

“I think if you didn’t know he had the injury or had the brace on his leg, you’d probably assess that everything was good,” Pederson said in late June.

Moving forward, look for the Eagles to still take precaution with their franchise quarterback, but in terms of where Carson is in his rehab timeline it’s a step in the right direction for his return to the starting lineup.

Carson’s last major hurdle, would be getting cleared for contact.
