Report: White House cancels tomorrow’s visit with the Eagles

4 June 2018 Eagles News

The White House has canceled on the Eagles, there will be no more trip tomorrow.

The White House released a statement in which President Donald Trump uninvited the Eagles because the whole team will not be going. This comes at a time where the National Anthem protests in the NFL is a hot topic and many Eagles players as well as the league do not agree with President Trump’s view.

To avoid any conflicts, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie had meetings with the Eagles and came to a conclusion that a select group would attend the visit while others had an optional day at the facility. Now, the plans are off unless the whole team is in attendance.

The select group was not good enough for the White House and President Trump. For the Eagles, they are still the Super Bowl Champions, if President Trump doesn’t want to meet them, it’s his loss.
