Peter King shows Doug Pederson some love in his final Monday Morning Quarterback column

21 May 2018 Eagles News

There have been many things we’ve become accustomed to in the world of football and Peter King’s Monday Morning Quarterback has been a constant in all our football lives for such a long time.

On Monday, the legendary sports writer hung up his “Monday Morning Quarterback” writing cleats with plans to take his talents to NBC Sports in July, where he’ll continue on in the digital space.

In his last column, King decided to send out thank yous to all the football world in his last piece for Sports Illustrated. As an Eagles fan, you’ll notice that he left a nice little paragraph for a guy we’ve all grown to love, Dougy P.

Thank you, Doug Pederson. By sharing so much interesting X-and-O stuff from the playoffs last year, and doing it humbly, Pederson taught so many football nerds and casual football fans that, with hard work and imagination, all things are possible … even beating the great Belichick in the Super Bowl.

Glad to see the national media show Doug Pederson some love, after an amazing season, playoff run and Super Bowl win versus the New England Patriots and evil genius head coach, Bill Belichick. Also, if you missed Peter King’s article with Doug Pederson: “His Career Forged in Darkness, Eagles Coach Doug Pederson Ready for Spotlight of Super Bowl 52,” please make sure you give it a read.
