Are the Eagles going to move one of their DBs for a 3rd round pick? And, who is the odd man out?

6 March 2018 Eagles News

And yet again, the Eagles offseason just got a lot more interesting. Today, while on 97.5 the fanatic, Chris Mortensen revealed this little tidbit of information on the Eagles offseason plan.

It is crazy how a year ago the Eagles had no cornerback and now they are comfortable enough to trade one in order to gain back lost draft capital. Now, the question is which cornerback?

All signs to me point to Ronald Darby. After being acquired last season from the Buffalo Bills, he played well for the Eagles, but with Sidney Jones coming back, he looks to be the odd man out. Also, Darby is a free agent in 2019, which makes even more sense for the Eagles, Cornerbacks demand a lot of money in the market and he is definitely not a player the Eagles need to pay going forward. The only other player the Eagles could possibly move is Rasul Douglas, but the team seems to like his progress and will look to him to step up even more next year.

When this report came out, the obvious choice is Darby, but crazier things have happened. Darby seemed to be a short-term fix with the team knowing Jones will be healthy and the future cornerback one.
