Eagles open practices were a big success this year

6 August 2017 Eagles News

And just like that, the Eagles concluded their second and last open practice.

Today, over 36,000 of the greatest fans in the world turned out to watch the Eagles practice.

That is a 13,000 person increase from the first open practice which saw 23,000 faithful fans turn up. The hopes are high this year and everyone wanted to get close and personal with their beloved team. In fact, this years’ practices saw a much bigger turn out than the last years.

Both days shattered last years’ best record and today’s’ practice doubled it.

You cannot really argue against the notion that the Eagles have the most passionate fans in the NFL. You hardly ever hear of one team getting that many people at one practice.

With all of that being said, these open practices are a great event. The players are very appreciative of the support from the fans who make the trip to see them practice and all around, the spectacle is well run.

The only downside would be that there are only two practices, but that makes them even more special.

Going by attendance and the vibes, the Philly faithful are ready to see Carson Wentz lead this team in year two. The season outlook is positive and going into the season the fans are very positive.

The Eagles still have a long way to go before the regular season, but based off of these two open practices, the fans are ready for it to kick off!

In the meantime, make sure to tune in this Thursday when the Eagles kick off week one of preseason football versus the Green Bay Packers.
