Three things to look out for today vs. Bengals

4 December 2016 Eagles News

The Eagles take on the 3-7-1 Cincinnati Bengals away at Cincinnati today. After a devasting loss versus the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles are looking to bounce back with a win.

Here are three things to look out for:

The Wide Receivers

With Jordan Matthews out, the Eagles will be rocking with Dorial Green-Beckham, Bryce Treggs, and Paul Turner again. Nelson Agholor will return to the lineup as well. The Eagles desperately need one of these receivers to step up in the absence of Matthews. A big game from Agholor would be huge not only for his own confidence but for the Eagles as well. If the Eagles can get big production out of Agholor, maybe this offseason will be a lot different. For right now, the Eagles really need these receivers to step up and help Carson Wentz today.

The Eagles pass rush

The last four weeks this unit and this team have only sacked the quarterback four times. Last week versus the Green Bay Packers, the Eagles managed zero sacks. This team has too much money invested into this defensive line. For them to have such little production is unacceptable. Fletcher Cox is worth 103 million, Vinny Curry 46 million, Brandon Graham 25 million, Connor Barwin 36 million, and Bennie Logan will be looking for a big contract this offseason. With that kind of money invested, the Eagles need production. If Cox is double teamed, the rest of the defensive line needs to win their 1 on 1 battles. With that being said, this unit needs to come out hungry and get to Andy Dalton.

Who wants to be here

The last two weeks have been miserable to watch. This team seems to have nothing left. There is no fight what so ever. Now, with playoffs just a figment of our imagination, we are really going to see who wants to be here in Philadelphia. Every player is this roster is really auditioning now. They are here to show that they are ready and willing to jump on board this project. The staff can tell which players want it and which do not.
